Lunch and Conversation - Heretics Wanted

Lunch and Conversation - Heretics Wanted

Are you yearning for a time to just be and explore ideas? Are you trying to do life differently and feeling isolated? Do the events of the world seem to be to crowding in and your are looking for support? Is there an idea you'd love to share yet don't have anywhere that is safe?

'“Heretic” is a term usually saved for religious settings but I want to broaden it to anyone who sees the cultural status quo and says, “I want to live differently.” I want to practice unity in the midst of division. I want to get to know people outside of my comfort zone and practice empathy. I want to live from the inside out instead of looking to the outside for confirmation of my inside. I want to practice self-care in a world that encourages me to go until I can’t go any more. I want to live my passion not for the goal but as a response to the gift of life. I want to live life from a perspective of enough instead of focusing on what’s missing." Amanda Petersen

Are you one of these people? Are you looking to live life from the inside out? One thing I know about living a contemplative and heretic life is we need all the support we can get.

Come join others in a safe space to explore faith and life over a meal.

Please bring your own lunch.

There is no scheduled fee for this event, but we do ask that you register. You are welcome to contribute whatever you wish.

Free to Attend, but we do ask that you RSVP.

Amanda's passion is to create the space where each person can listen deeply the Wisdom Within. As life continually unfolds, it is so important to have others to walk along side us. Founder of Pathways of Grace, Amanda has experience as a pastor, hospice chaplain, spiritual director, life coach and artist.

With her group work and retreats, she emphasizes the gift of community; that in being present to one another, no matter what the similarities or differences might be, we are all connected. She is co-director of The Art of Deep Listening spiritual direction training and Supervision of Spiritual Directors training at Pathways of Grace. She has led many contemplative workshops and retreats and is adjunct faculty at the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction.
