Meet This Year's Seasonal Character!
Each year I choose a special animal to explore creatively throughout the seasons. Last year it was the dog and cat, and thanks to your votes, they became Sid and Sammy. Check them out below.
While on my break, I took a painting class featuring an otter and completely fell in love with the image. I knew right away this playful little friend would become this year's seasonal character!

This is a happy welcome to Fall. I wanted to encapsulate the feeling of wonder and delight in the change of season. A time to stop and be in nature. I played with adding paper leaves in the the painted ones.

I love the play with an image of a bird dog. No matter the size most dogs feel they are bird dogs. I also wanted to play with texture in the background.

This mixed-media piece is a loving nod to all those who love cats and how unique they are. This Happy Cat has an inner wisdom and a sense of play with the whole world, which is a place to explore! I wanted to play with color and texture, adding mixed-media elements to the environment.
